Navarathri Golu Celebration 2025-26

Navarathri Golu Celebration Our school celebrated the auspicious festival of Navarathri Golu with devotion and grandeur. Navarathri Golu is a traditional practice where dolls and idols are arranged on decorated steps, symbolizing cultural values and spiritual heritage. In our school, an impressive display of dolls was set up, depicting mythological stories as well as scenes from daily life. This arrangement served as a wonderful medium for students to understand and appreciate our traditions. Each day, pooja was performed with reverence, and prasadam was distributed to all students, spreading joy and blessings. The celebration created a spiritual atmosphere on campus and instilled in the young minds the importance of preserving our cultural roots. It was a meaningful and enriching experience for all.

Kamarajar birthday celebrations-Educational development day

Kamarajar birthday celebrations-"Educational development day" To celebrate Karma Veerar K. Kamarajar’s birthday, a special speech about Kamarajar was delivered during the morning assembly, and a short Tamil skit was performed by students, portraying his good deeds and contributions to society. Our school conducted various competitions for students from LKG to XII. The events aimed to honour his legacy and inspire students through his life and values. The competitions included Essay Writing, Elocution, and Art and Craft activities. Students from higher classes wrote essays and delivered speeches highlighting Kamarajar’s role in promoting education. Younger students participated enthusiastically in drawing and craft competitions, showcasing their creativity. The entire school took part with great interest, making the celebration meaningful and vibrant. The event reminded all students of Kamarajar’s dedication to education and encouraged them to follow in his footsteps. The celebration was meaningful and memorable for all.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION 2025-26

Our school celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21st in the school auditorium with great enthusiasm. All the students from different classes participated in the event and performed various yoga asanas under the instruction of the yoga teacher. The session began with a warm-up, followed by asanas like Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Trikonasana, and Pranayama. The teacher explained the importance and health benefits of each posture. The students participated actively and maintained discipline throughout the session. The event ended with a short meditation that brought calmness and positivity. It was a successful event promoting health, focus, and unity among students.

TINY TOTS DAY & GRADUATION 2024-25 (UKG):Graduating Kindergarten is a great occasion for students and parents. We recognize the talents of our little ones and make sure they are appreciated. This year, UKG had their Tiny Tots Day and their Graduation from KG to I std on 07.02.2025. The programme started with prayer and welcome note. Followed by which we had Talent Show. Later the kids showcased their stunning performances. Then the much awaited graduation ceremony for our little scholars took place. Our honourable Correspondent Sir graced this occasion and took much pleasure in presenting the certificates. Finally the special occasion concluded with Vote of Thanks and National Anthem

TINY TOTS DAY 2024-25 (LKG): Every year we celebrate the talents of our blooming stars on Tiny Tots Day. We organized it on 06.02.2025. The programme started with a prayer by LKG kids followed by a welcome address. For the next few minutes, our shining stars took over the stage and mesmerized with their stunning performances. Later it was followed by the Vote Of Thanks. The programme was successfully concluded with all the co-operation of teachers, students and the parents.

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 24-25 The Annual Sports Meet 2024-25 was successfully held on 25 January. The programme commenced with the band troop receiving our Correspondent and Co-correspondent. The programme commenced with prayer followed by the flag hoisting ceremony. Next was the synchronizing March past of the four houses of Matric and CBSE schools. It was continued by the ceremonial Lighting of the torch and Oath taking event led by the school captains. Our Correspondent Sir then declared the Sports Meet open by releasing a dove. There were two amazing Mass drill performances by the CBSE and Matric students. Some Final events were conducted and all the winners were awarded with medals and certificates. Finally, the programme concluded with a patriotic national anthem.

PONGAL CELEBRATIONS-2024-25 Every year, our institution makes sure that our heritage and culture is passed on to the next generation by celebrating “Uzhavar thirunal“ in a grand manner. Our campus was filled with colourful kolams and children in their traditional attire. The celebration started by preparing the pongal which is considered as an offering of Sun God. The celebration started with devotional songs by our students. It was followed by a fierce tamil speech about pongal. Later many talented boys showcased their silambam talents. To compete with them, girls amazed us with their elegant dance performance. Later, Pongal was distributed to the children. Finally the programme was concluded with National Anthem.

ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS 2024-25 Our School Annual Day Celebration on 07.12.2024 (Saturday) was a splendid occasion, marked by enthusiasm, talent, and a sense of togetherness. The event was held at Subha Veena Auditorium. It was graced by the presence of two chief guests – Dr. Pon Kousalya and Thiru K.P. Kalai Arasan along with our beloved Chairman Mr. Ezhilvannan, our Correspondent Ms. Vijaya Lakshmi, our new Managing Trustee, Mr. Sunil Venkat Kumar, both the school Principals, our teachers, parents, and students. The ceremony began with a grand welcome for the Chief Guest, led by a magnificent performance by our school band. The celebrations commenced with Tamizh Thai Vazhthu and a soulful prayer, invoking blessings for a successful event. This was followed by the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, accompanied by the Chairman, the Correspondent, Managing Trustee, the Principals of Matric & CBSE, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the spreading of knowledge. Our Correspondent, Mr. Ezhilvannan Sir, extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, parents, and students. To express gratitude and respect, the Chief Guest was honored with a memento, shawl and a bouquet. The day was special as the management declared our new Managing Trustee, Mr. Sunil Venkat Kumar. He was honored by the Principals of both Matric & CBSE. The Principal of the Matric School, Ms. Jayamary Andrews and the Principal of the CBSE School, Ms. Ananthi Felcita, presented their respective Annual Reports. They highlighted the milestones achieved during the academic year, including academic excellence, extracurricular accomplishments, and innovative initiatives. Both the Chief Guests delivered an inspiring address. They encouraged students to pursue their dreams with determination and emphasized the importance of holistic development in shaping future leaders. The prize distribution ceremony was a moment of pride and joy as students were recognized for their outstanding achievements in academics. The Chief Guest and dignitaries distributed the awards, motivating students and teachers who trained them to score the best. The cultural segment of the event was a vibrant showcase of talent and creativity by the students. Performances by Matric school students included classical and dance styles of different states. Each dance reflected the diverse cultures of our country. Meanwhile CBSE students portrayed the theme of sports, leaving the audience mesmerized. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by S. Sanjith of Grade X from CBSE, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest, Management, Principals, parents, students, and staff for making the event a resounding success. The evening concluded with the National Anthem, filling everyone with a sense of pride and unity. The Annual Day celebration at Vijaya Vidhyalaya Institutions was not just an event but a reflection of the school’s dedication to fostering excellence and nurturing well-rounded individuals.

NAVARATRI CELEBRATIONS AND VIJAYADASHAMI-2024-25

Every year we celebrate Navaratri Golu in our school and this year we celebrated from 3rd October to 9th October. The next 10th day is celebrated as Vijayadashami. It is one of the biggest festivals celebrated in India which literally translates to nine nights and is dedicated to the nine forms of Goddess Durga. The three main goddesses of Navratri are Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati. These three goddesses are also known as the Tridevi, and are said to represent the three dimensions of the feminine: • Earth: Symbolized by Durga, the Mother Goddess. • Sun: Symbolized by Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth. • Moon: Symbolized by Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom. Like every year, we arranged nine steps for golu arrangement in which various dolls representing our hindu tradition and culture were exhibited for our children to learn our tradition. Apart from this, there was also a special exhibit of Potramarai kulam, Kannagi and Kovalan court scene from Silapathikaram, Lord Krishna’s advice to Arjuna during the Kurukshetra War in the Mahabharata, from Matric school students. Similarly CBSE school students exhibited various Olympic Games. All the students were brought to see the golu and enrich their knowledge with our rich cultural events and Prasadam was also distributed. This celebration was concluded by the Vijayadashami pooja on the 10th day. Books were kept in pooja as to pay respects to Education and it is believed that Goddess Saraswati bless us through it. Our honourable Correspondent madam performed pooja and all of us worshiped for the betterment of students’ education and development of our institution.

KAMARAJAR BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION 24-25

KAMARAJAR BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION Kamarajar’s demise does not stop us from remembering his golden reign in Tamil Nadu. Every year, on his birthday, we celebrate it by conducting various competitions involving students in a way that imparts knowledge to the upcoming generations about his simplicity, honesty and selfless nature. On 15th July 2024, our celebration started with prayer followed by a Tamil speech on ‘Karmaveerar Kamarajar’ delivered by Dhansika of Vstd. Dhanya of VIII std explained the selfless service of Kamarajar through her eloquent English speech. Then our students of VIII std portrayed the educational schemes of Kamarajar through their lively drama. Later various competitions like Elocution, Essay writing, Art & Craft works like Rangoli, Pot painting, Glass painting, Paper quilling were conducted for classes from Kindergarten to XII std. Students also enthusiastically participated in all the competitions with lively spirit under the motivation and guidance of our honourable Principal.

YOGA DAY CELEBRATION 24-25

YOGA DAY CELEBRATION Yoga is the gateway to happiness and the secret to a healthy mind. The International Day of Yoga is celebrated across the world annually on 21st June in recognition of Yoga. It is celebrated to raise awareness among people about the benefits of Yoga. In our school, International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by our students. All the students of class I to IX demonstrated various asanas. First, our Physical Education teacher instructed the students to do their warm up exercises continued by various siting and standing asanas. The students also performed Pranayama, the breathing exercise. Simultaneously, the health benefits of all the asanas were explained to the students. Regular practice of yoga will surely help us achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually as well. Thus the programme ended with a message that Yoga is the journey of the self, to the self, and through the self. The importance and benefits of Yoga was explained to our students by our Principal and she encouraged the students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration.

Graduation is the time of entering in to the next level. Here we have given graduation to the UKG students to mark their entry to the next grade of academics. Children are looked cute and great in their graduation robe and hat. Parents are happy to see them in their attire. Everyone awarded with the certificate by our Madam Correspondent. Group photo has taken to commemorate their first graduation in their life and it has marked as a wonderful beginning for their future endeavors.

Tiny tots’ day is celebrated as a talent show of KG kids. It’s the time for the kids to show case their talents in the presence of their parents. The kids of LKG and UKG from Vijaya Vidhyalaya Matric. Hr. Sec. School, enthusiastically participated in the events. All the parents are invited to the program. They enjoyed the activities of the kids. They are thrilled to see the talents of their kids. Dance, action song, rhymes, recitation etc. are performed by the kids. It’s a colorful performance and a treat for everyone’s eyes.

Pongal Celebration

Pongal is the traditional festival of Tamilnadu and the festival of harvest. Yes, it is the time to thank God, farmers, and the cattles for the plentiful harvest.
       In our school, it is celebrated with great enthusiasm. All were in traditional wear. The day was marked by various cultural events such as dance, song, poem, speech, Silambam, playing musical instruments etc.
     Pongal made by students with the help of teachers . Pooja was performed by our correspondent mam to please sun God. Sweet pongal distributed to all and we all had a memorable day.

Navaratri Poojas & Vijayadashami Celebrations

It is the religious tradition of our nation to celebrate the Navaratri with golu. This golu festival of Navaratri denotes the victory of good over evil for nine auspicious nights.

This year along with our traditional dolls, we had a theme to display the hot spots of our four main southern states namely Andrapradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu. Our students also contributed with their beautiful idols to our mythological stories. The golu was a magnificient sight for our eyes.

The first three days were dedicated to Goddess Durga and the next three days to Lakshmi and the last three days to Saraswathi. These nine days poojas were conducted for the respective goddess and prasadhams were distributed to the students. The tenth day was celebrated as Vijayadashami which signifies the triumph over all three aspects of life.

76th Independence day and 13th annual sports meet

“No amount of money can give the happiness that freedom does.”
76th Independence day and 13th annual sports meet celebrated on 15th August with great pomp and show. The function was presided over by Mr.N.Ezhilvannan, the Correspondent and Ms.E.Vijayalakshmi the Co-Correspondent of Vijaya Vidhyalaya Educational Institutions. All the students have taken part in the celebrations. Children were participated enthusiastically in all activities. It was a colourful and solemn function. Our Correspondent Mr.N.Ezhilvannan hoisted our tricolor flag and accepted the salute of our students. He also declared the sports meet open. Various Competitions for classes KG to XII conducted and the winners were awarded with medals and certificates. The expedition of March past, Mass drill, Silambam, Yoga, Karate, Pyramid etc. had catch the eyes and minds of everyone. Kamarajar Birthday Celebrations

Kamarajar , soul who toiled hard for the welfare of his people all though his life was barn on 15th July.

July 15th is considered as “Education development day”  on account of his birthday. This is the credit given by Tamilnadu Government in order to commemorate the incomparable contribution towards education.

We celebrate his birthday every year as a memory of his achievements in the field of education. Although  his contributions in politics , industrial developments and agriculture are remarkable, we celebrate  him for his incomparable service in Education.

During his reign, he built many schools and very well known for his mid-day meal scheme which served a boon for the poor students.

Various competitions like Drawing , Elocution (English) and Essay writing (Tamil) were conducted an account of  Thiru Kumaraswamy Kamajar’s  birthday in our school to motivate the students and remind them of the noble and selfless soul- Kamarajar.

International Yoga Day Celebrations

The United Nations designated 21 June as the International day of yoga to recognize Yoga’s  widespread appeal. Similarly ,Our school organized yoga class for all the children to make them aware of the importance of yoga.

Yoga is essentially a spiritual discipline . It is based on an extremely subtle science, which focuses on bringing harmony between mind and body .It is an ancient art for well being  of our mind and soul. It is an exercise that we perform by balancing the elements of our bodies.

In addition , it helps us to meditate and relax. Moreover yoga helps us to keep control of our body as well as mind. It is a great channel for releasing our stress and anxiety .

Graduation is the first step in the direction of your dreams.

It instills in children a great confidence and motivates them to go higher. So, in our institution, we give them the happiness of achievement and motivate them to achieve even bigger. Our tiny tots of UKG were adorned in graduation robes and looked dashing. They were awarded the graduation certificated by our respected Principal, Ms. Jayamary Andrews. They also exhibited their outstanding performances and left the audience spellbound.

Children are the world’s most valuable resource and is the best hope for future. Therefore we, in our institution consider them our precious gems and shape them to shine brighter. Every year, a special day is dedicated to the kindergarten kids to exhibit their talents. It is a special day for them and their parents as they see their kids on stage for the first time which also makes it a memory for lifetime. This year, similarly we celebrate Tiny Tots Day for LKG where our lovely butterflies come out of their shells and spread their colourful wings. We have a variety of performance which includes singing rhymes in Tamil and English, dancing to beats and even change of attire to replicate a great personality.

Republic day & Annual Sports Meet 2022-23 : 74th Republic day and Annual Sports meet of Vijaya Vidhyalaya Matric. Hr. Sec. School has celebrated in our school premises. Our Chairman and Correspondent Mr. N. Ezhilvannan and Co-Correspondent Mrs. E. Vijayalakshmi have consented cordially to be the chief guests for the day and to award the winners of various sports events with medals and certificates. March past of all houses with beat of band showcased the discipline and team spirit. Mass drill with colourful and glittering properties attracted every one’s eyes. Lighting of torch and oath taking has done with its serenity. Various final events of sport conducted and the winners were awarded. All programs highly appreciated by the audience with great applause. Children were happy and enthusiastic to stand on the victory stand to receive their medals and certificates from our eminent chief guests. Function came to an end with the national anthem.

Pongal Celebratimhss

Pongal is a festival of Harvest. Time to commemorate the contribution and effort of our farmers to feed the world.  Yes, it is the festival of harvest.We the staff and students of  Vijaya Vidhyalaya Matric Hr.Sec School celebrated Pongal with  its  serenity in our school campus. We have taken the time to be filled with joy and pleasure. Everyone allowed coming in traditional wear instead of regular uniform.  Staff and students were taken initiative to prepare pongal with all rituals and customs. Chance had been given to higher class students to do Rangoli in order showcase their talents. As a part of celebration talented exhibited in dance speech etc. All activities staged based on  the traditional  and cultural aspect. Pooja was performed by our School Co-, Correspondent Ms. Vijaya Lakshmi once the pongal was ready. Slogans were enchanted by students to praise God.At last Sweet pongfal distributed to everyone. All have had a funfilled day to cherish forever.

We the Staff & Students of Vijaya Vidhyalaya Matric. Hr. Sec. School celebrated children’s day and science expo 2022-23 on 25.11.22 under presidentship of our beloved madam Mrs. E.Vijayalakshmi Ezhilvannan, the Co-Correspondent through various cultural events. Winners of various competitions were awarded with certificates and prizes. Staff performance also highly appreciated.
We could see the creativity and thinking skill of each and every student. All have contributed well for the success of science expo. Many articles have attracted the parents and secured very good appreciation. This also paves way for the budding scientists for sure. Function came to an end with National anthem.

Navaratri celebration

NAVRATRI -  the festival of 9 nights are dedicated to the three goddesses  who are Durga (warrior)  Lakshmi (Wealth) and saraswathi (knowledge). People celebrate this for durga, to commemorate killing of demon, Mahishasura.

During Navratri, golu is a popular festive display of not only dolls but also thematic representation of social events like marriage, village scenery, different avatars of gods and goddesses.

Our school has displayed various dolls in 9 steps of golu in the hierarchical order (1 sense to 6 sense organism) which is a visual treat to the eyes of everyone. They are very curious and eager to know the stories of avatars and culture of our past.

In one way golu also connects with agriculture as we prepare” molapaari” and prepare different landscapes for display with unique themes.

After the 9days, 10th day is celebrated as Vijayadashami symbolising the victory of good over evil.

The celebration started with hoisting our national flag by our respected Correspondent Mr. N .EZHILVANNAN. Our Co-Correspondent Ms. E. VIJAYALAKSHMI has taken part in the function as privileged guest. March past followed by various cultural events performed by our students with great enthusiasm. Speech in tri-lingual given by our students on independence provoked the feel of independence. It’s the duty of every citizen to commemorate the struggle of great people who fought for our independence. It’s time to pay homage to the great souls. Every event on the day imparts the feel of Patriotism.

Kamarajar Birthday Celebration


Birthday of our former Chief Minister Mr. Kamarajar was celebrated in our school on July 15 with great reverence. In order to celebrate the day, we have planned for a tribute to the Great Soul through various programs by commemorating the ideas of Kamarajar who brought the importance of Education to the public. PONGAL CELEBRATION

Pongal is the important festival of Tamilnadu. It is the festival of harvest time to remember the farmers for their hardwork and dedication towards farming. We , People of Vijaya Vidhyalaya Matric. Hr. Sec. School, too had a joyful occasion. Pongal celebrated on January 12th 2022. Students were in traditional costume and they have been given chance to prepare pongal. They were all very enthusiastic to prepare the pongal. Staff guided them to prepare the pongal with all rituals. It came out well and tasty. We worshipped the Sun God by offering pongal and shared the pongal with everyone. All had a gala day amidst the COVID 19 threat.
